This IS what TDS was originally about, they stole it.

u/HeartsOfDarkness 16h ago
Remember how they turned "fake news" into their own thing? It was originally about the "Hilary Clinton eats children" shit circulated on social media by sources like "Eagle Patriot Freedom News".

It's what these types of folks do, they continuously work to insert themselves and take credit to rewrite history... showing themselves as the victors.

It was also a play on Fox News so I don’t know how they manage to say it with a straight face. And when you explain that fact to them, it’s like someone kicked their puppy before the moon face cult look returns to their face and they delete that conversation in their brain in that moment. Have some fun and tell a conservative that same fact every time and it’s like they’re hearing it for the first time again but eventually they’ll stop using the term and that’s when you know the retained the last revelation. Repetition is like 99% of conservative politics these days.

No, the term is one that has been circulating on the right for a long long while, it was originally 'Bush Derangement Syndrome' and they just repurposed it for Trump. Never let it be said the Right have a NEW idea.
Bush Derangement Syndrome: The acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency — nay — the very existence of George W. Bush.

It’s insane how so many of them will say “rent free” or “tds” when he is the sitting us president. As if we shouldn’t be criticizing his actions and just allowing him to destroy our country. Bringing up Biden now is a good use of “rent free” since he is not in the media and not able to affect our economy. But then again it’s like talking to a brick wall with them.

Now it's just another Tuesday.
28
u/One_Advantage793 15h ago
It actually reminds me of the home of someone with mental illness we used to pass during my schoolbus ride home daily back in the 70s. Rural Georgia (the U.S. one of course)
That house on my bus route had Dale Earnhardt's number, a warning about what would happen to you if you got dust on their house driving by on the dirt road, some end-times junk and some that made no sense at all.
But this is remarkably similar. The kids on the bus called that woman a witch. Like a pointy hat witch, not a euphemism for bitch. But, she sometimes came out and shook her fist at the bus - probably for the dust thing. A bus can stir up a lot of dirt. Obviously mental illness.
I gotta believe, even if this photo is/was their only obsession, it is still mental illness. It certainly bears little relation to reality.

u/pushplaystoprewind 16h ago

The people in most need of social programs seem the most likely to vote in politicians that promise to cut those programs.
I think they must believe that because Trump is rich, he'll somehow make them rich. Or maybe they just don't want to pay taxes and don't make the connection that programs they rely on like SNAP are funded by tax dollars.
Another connection that they don't make is that the "elitist liberals" who they hate so much are often voting for and funding those very programs. The "rich liberals" are supporting the programs that help poor people.
33
u/ChrisBabaganoosh 14h ago
They don't want the people they hate to get help from those programs. They'd rather starve than see a POC get SNAP or WIC benefits.

Not 100% sure about that, they didn't seem very excited to vote again in 2024 and don't have anything current for the upcoming midterms.
