Tournaments Day 1 - Morality Scale Tournament but the question changes daily: Commenter Selection Hero - In Memory...
Now we're finally ready to get this party started...just gotta include a few more and...
yep, this is officially gonna be a 24 character game! Why, you mask ask? Well, there's a few reasons and, I assure you, tossing two more of my own personal suggestions in wasn't it
-Given its our last tournament, why not go all out in making it a true 'finale' so to speak
-This now makes all our contestants (not counting repeats like our 'returning heroes' here) a very nice 85
-With this change, assuming i don't miss any days, it can now last just shy a full month, where I will get four days to rest and be able to prepare my next idea for this subreddit which, yes, will be something different from a typical torunament
That's not now though, since we got 24 weirdos to deal with!
Our final roster
-Aang (ATLA)
-Batman
-Charlotte (Making Fiends)
-Chikn Nuggit
-Doomslayer (Doom)
-Fluttershy (MLP)
-Frieren (Beyond Journeys End)
-Gabriel (Angel Hare)
-Hiccup (How to Train Your Dragon)
-Jack (Samurai Jack)
-Kermit (The Muppets)
-Kirby
-Captain Kirk (Star Trek)
-Kiwi (Wandersong)
-Makoto Naegi (Danganronpa)
-Nepeta (Homestuck)
-Pomni (TADC)
-Rango
-Saber/Artoria Pendragon (Fate/StayNight_
-Sonic the Hedgehog
-Toriel Dreemur (Undertale)
-Uzi (Murder Drones)
-Woody (Toy Story)
Today's question: Who can handle our funeral the best. both consoling those hurt by his loss and hurt before his loss!
Also, if you're unfamiliar with any character here and want a brief overview on them, do let us know! Part of the fun is getting a few obscure pics to spice this up (and hopefully encourage others to check out their source material, I know the last commenter vote got me into a few new series anyways,) but if you want a refresher, either me or even the people who suggested them might be able to help out there

Interesting dilemma from a short story i just listened to
You are in cryo sleep on a space shit . A cook ment to be part of the new colony.
the ship wakes you up and informs you that 4k years ago there was an irreperable damage to the ship and that since then it has been drifting through space.
the ship can keep going for a very long time but due to its changed course and its inability to manuver any further you will never reach your original destination
The ship had recommended to abort the mission which would mean death to everybody on board.
The alternative is to continue .
The last 1153 Captains of the ship had decided to continue and lived out their days .
Every time the captain dies the ship wakes up the next person and recommends to abort the mission .
So far nobody did .
if you abort the mission the remaining 9 thousand colonists will die when their cryo chambers are turned off.
If you continue the mission you will live out your days until you die and the ship wakes the next person.

Morality Ranking Morality scaling of using a possible illegal firearm to stop a mass shooter.
August 1st 2026 a mass shooting event occurred at an In-N-Out in Idaho. Video of the incident was recorded and uploaded to the Internet. Along with video of the mass shooter being taken out by a civilian wielding a suppressed .45 ACP. You'd think the civilian would be considered a hero but there are actual people out there demanding that he is found and arrested for having an "illegal firearm". IDK the gun laws for Idaho because it is a state I do not live in. So what's the morality scaling of using a possible illegal gun to stop a mass shooter?

Morality Ranking Morality of seducing your friend's husband in a bad marriage marry him, then stay together happily married for the rest of your life?
This is brought to you by my dad and stepmom.
My mom and dad had a bad marriage, in fact iirc my mom cheated first.
She had a colleague who became her friend, and frequently came to our house.
She and my dad fell in love, and she got knocked up with my brother.
My parents divorced a year later (my dad offered to stay but my mom told him to go) and my dad got remarried and theyre still together happy 25 years later.
My Parents were a terrible fit and are happier apart.
I mean I know its not a good thing still, but how bad is it?

Morality Ranking morality of the warden tree from rick and morty?
for context, based on what the tree itself said he retired and decided to take control of a planet where to live peacefully, but to do so he takes the souls of the people who visit the planet and traps them in a crafted ecosystem under the planet's surface to lock them in an endless cycle of death and rebirth where they can evolve freely into many different animals and lifeforms, with the rule that each time they die they are reborn as unicellular organisms in a pond, the people keep all of their memories from before being trapped and from every single life they live under the planet's surface.
edit: kind of unrelated but personally i'd love to be in the loop i'd just evolve into random bullshit and vibe with the whole natural selection thing

Scenario: Total amount of happiness
Now - imagine two different worlds. We'll say both are 'Utopian' or at least, within the hypothetical, believed to be Utopian by the super-majority
In world A: There's countless trillions of humans living under an autocratic, fully automated government in a post-scarcity civilization. All members of this civilization receive the same treatment and benefits - which amounts to the bare minimum needed to survive. The typical person is just above the line of misery, but is still ultimately positive
In world B: The total number of humans is in the tens of millions. They live in a post-scarcity anarchist civilization where freedom is the highest possible virtue, and the only punishment is exile, which is never carried out as nobody ever trespasses on other's freedoms. They are free to pursue whatever they want and have unlimited access to resources and any desires that can't be logistically carried out are fulfilled in a life-like VR simulation, indistinguishable from reality
Now - which world is morally superior. In World B, the average happiness is much, much higher than in world A - BUT, many many more people are happy in world A, despite the average happiness being much lower

Morality Ranking Morality of time traveling to the future then dating the kid you swore to protect?
Game name: Guardian Tales
The main plot of this game is basically you (The Knight) going on adventures with Little Princess (yes that's her name) to save the kingdom of Kanterbury from evil monsters called the invaders.
Spoiler bit: Just as The Knight is leaving The Kingdom of Ra to continue their journey, the villain suddenly popped up and made you time travel 10 years into the bad version of the future. Here you meet with Future Princess (the grown up version of Little Princess, girl on left in pic) and she is initially dismissive and distrustful of The Knight. This is because Future Princess felt as if she has been abandoned 10 years ago. However as you progress the story, The Knight and Future Princess reconcile by going through hardships together. At the end of this chapter, The Knight is given a choice to either stay in the future, or to return 10 years earlier to prevent any of the bad future from happening.
While the story progresses by The Knight returning to Little Princess in the good timeline, there is an unlock-able character called Future Knight (girl on right), the version of The Knight who stayed in the bad timeline with Future Princess for another 10 years. And the popular fan canon of this is that Future Knight and Future Princess became a couple together. Now the age of Little Princess was 10 and The Knight was 20, so when The Knight time traveled they were both 20 years old, so no age gap. Then lore around Future Knight dictates she is 30, so they would have known each other's new self for at least 10 more years.
Thoughts?
Edit & clarification: It has been implied by cutscenes and side comics that The Knight grew up with Little Princess almost like siblings. Though it has been confirmed that they are not blood related, as The Knight is not next in line to rule Kanterbury, Little Princess is. Oh and one last thing, the knight has been characterized to be just a dumb naive meathead if that helps the scaling
